About the Practice:

• We at LocumHealth are currently collaborating with a wonderful practice located in Northumberland, looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role of General Practitioner. Here are the details:

Duties:

• Conduct regular patient consultations to diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of illnesses and conditions.
• Prescribe medications and recommend treatments, including preventive measures and lifestyle advice.
• Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Promote health education and preventive measures within the community.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
• Manage long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension.
• Provide urgent medical care for acute health issues.

Qualifications:

• A recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Full registration with the GMC and a license to practice in the UK.
• Successful completion of the two-year Foundation Program  (F1 and F2).
• Completion of a GP specialty training program  (CCT in General Practice).
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, excellent communication, and patient management abilities.
• Experience working in a general practice setting.
• Up-to-date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Compassion, patience, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to continuous professional development.
